Created and Principal Investigator for he Academic Center for Aging Aircraft (ACAA), which served as the Academic Representative with the DoD Aging Aircraft Commanders on the Joint Council on Aging Aircraft (JCAA). The JCAA is a functioning inter-service/inter-agency organization that is responsible for solving common aging aircraft problems jointly to develop and execute a national aging aircraft strategy. The ACAA is a consortium of The Texas A&M University System, University of Dayton Research Institute, and Georgia Tech Research Institute. This was a Congressional earmark program developing products on a variety of aging aircraft research in CARC paint stripping, Tagnite repair coatings, transmission condition monitoring and prognostics, advanced algorithms for life prediction, transparency degradations and solutions, fuel system inspection and repair techniques, fatigue damage assessments, and non destruction inspection techniques.
