Expanded the research/technical expertise of The Texas A&M University System and established partnerships/alliances with industry, government agencies, and other universities to promote the economic development of the State of Texas and the Nation in the aerospace industry. Under my direction, grew the business from 1 employee to more than 50 researchers, faculty, and students and has brought in more than $16.7M. Ranked in the top 5 of Principal Investigators from 2000-2010 for funds awarded. As part of my strategy, Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station acquired numerous DoD and GSA funding vehicles, which enables the University System to connect contractually to all federal agencies. Primary responsibilities include the overall planning of budget, manpower, facilities, and services needed to accomplish the mission. Served as Principal Investigator to identify, integrate, and develop a capture strategy for a wide variety of technology insertion and technology transfer projects into numerous aerospace weapon systems for the Department of Defense (DoD).
