Developed $30M applied depot research program entitled “Rotary-Wing Aircraft Sustainment Project (R-WASP)”. Served as program manager for the R-WASP program that included developing and defending proposals, obtaining funding, preparing procurement documents, supervising contractors and other engineers, and chairing in process reviews and higher headquarter presentations. A series of applied research project were undertaken that directly impact and improve repair cycle time, quality, work-in-progress, responsiveness, and environmental quality on the production shop floor. The objective was to develop and demonstrate affordable customer-driven repair and re-manufacturing technologies and practices on weapons systems supported by the depot to deal with the extra ordinary demands imposed by using current weapons systems beyond their intended design life.
